First an introduction. My name is Dave, author of NuTrak. I wrote the program because I experiment
with many supplements and adhere to the calorie restriction concept for life extension. These are some of the ways
that I personally use the program...
Count Calories or any Nutrient Monitor your calorie intake by entering the foods you
eat into the journal and receive a daily total.
Track Results
Whenever I try a new supplement to help with a particular problem,
I track my consumption and the results. For instance, I found that taking L-arginine and CLA seemed to reduce my waist size.
This is
not a recommendation as to what you should put into your body. Do your own research, draw your own conclusions but Keep Track!
Meet
Nutrition Goals I have developed a protocol of what I want to consume each day. For instance, 3 grams of Vitamin C, 800 IU of
Vitamin E, etc. I track my consumption of supplements to determine the mix that meets my goals.
Track Costs One of
the features of NuTrak is the ability to enter container cost and receive a total cost of the food, supplements or drugs you consume. Adjust consumption
to fit your budget.
Cut down on Smoking NuTrak provides a list of popular cigarettes with their tar and nicotine content.
By tracking cigarette smoking and viewing the pollutant consumption, I was able to cut down.
Monitor Health Problems When
you have a health problem, keep a journal of the symptoms and the things you take or do to help alleviate them. The process itself
is therapeutic and by tracking different solutions, you may see what works and what doesn't.

Keep a Health Journal!
Your physical and mental health is affected by nutrition, drugs and the things you do. By keeping track,
you may discover cause and effect relationships that surprise you!
With NuTrak, you can keep a daily journal of what you
eat or drink, the pills you take, what you do and how you feel. You can also track what is important to you such as weight, energy
level, blood pressure, etc..
Easy to Use!
To make journal entries, you select items from one of three lists - Foods, Activities
and Results. Foods can be real food, dietary supplements or drugs. Activities can be things like swimming, weight lifting or
yoga. Results can be measurements, vital signs or symptoms like stomach ache.
NuTrak is nutrition software that can track any nutrient or chemical found in food or dietary supplements. The database includes the
USDA National Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 17 and the Life Extension Foundation nutritional supplement line.
The database provides nutrition facts for over 10000 foods and supplements. The program can be used as a calorie counter and a calories
burned calculator. Nutritional analysis includes a pie chart breakdown of calories from fat, carbohydrates or protein. Users of NuTrak
can keep a journal of foods or supplements consumed, activities such as exercise or sports performed and results achieved. Results
can include physical or mental reactions, medical test results or any measurement. Goals or protocols can be built of desired daily
nutrient consumption, activity schedules or desired results. NuTrak provides a list of over 400 nutrients in various forms. The database
can be expanded to include any nutrient, drug, chemical, food, herb or supplement. Any human activity or reaction can be added to
the database. NuTak can be used for any kind of diet including those required for health problems such as diabetes or high blood pressure.
It could also be used for people involved in clinical trials of drugs or supplements to monitor positive or negative effects. NuTrak
is the most comprehensive and flexible nutritional analysis program available.
Software for Dieting, Fitness or any Self Improvement Program
The NuTrak database provides
* a Food list with nutritional values.
* an Activity list with calorie burned
information.
* a Result list that includes weight, blood pressure, upset stomach, headache, etc..
You can add any
nutrient, food, supplement, drug, human activity, measurement, symptom or result to the database.
Count Calories or Carbs Consumed,
Calories Burned! Track what you eat by selecting items from the Food list. Click on the Journal Analysis tab for the total.
And because most diets are based on different percentages of calories from fat, carbohydrates and protein, you can view a pie chart
which shows the distribution.
You can also count Calories Burned by making journal entries of your Activites. The Activity Total display
will show you Total Calories Consumed, Total Calories Burned and Net Calories.
Track any Nutrient found in Supplements! There is controversy over what quantity of nutrients is good for the human body. If
you keep a journal for a couple of days, you may be surprised at how much food you have to eat to reach the minimum daily requirement
of vitamins and minerals.
On the other hand, you might take different supplements such as a multiple, extra vitamin C, a
hair formula, etc. Like food, these formulas could contain the same nutrient in different quantities. There is a possibility
of too much of a good thing or an imbalance between essential nutrients. With NuTrak, you get a daily total of each nutrient
and a time line of consumption.
